RELEASE NOTES for 1.76 - UNDER EMBARGO UNTIL RELEASE IS LIVE

Here is what you can expect in the upcoming release and what events are on the horizon. The release is expected to go live Tuesday, October 15th at approximately 15:30 UTC. This release will be a rolling release, meaning we will scale up the percentage of people with the release over a few days to minimize bugs or crashes. Below you will find the updates included in this release.

All Platforms

  • Zwifters have a new cycling badge to collect! The Richmond Loop Around route in Richmond is now available for all Zwifters and grants a badge upon completion.
  • For Zwifters using virtual shifting with the sequential gearing scheme, the default starting gear was changed from gear 12 to gear 8 to provide an easier starting point.
  • In Makuri Islands, support columns that were holding up a building above a portion of roadway were removed so Zwifters no longer collide with them. Don't worry, they weren't load bearing!
  • Fixed an issue that caused the spindown calibration within Zwift to fail.
  • Fixed an issue that could potentially cause the "FTP Change Detected" notification to appear when the new FTP matched the previous FTP.
  • Fixed an issue that could potentially cause a slight delay when using virtual shifting.

NOT Included nor Promoted in Release Notes but Coming After 1.76 is Live

  • Zwifters will now be able to join 50 clubs if they so choose, up from the original cap of 10.
  • The garage will auto-sort to show your most recently used bikes and wheels first. This will slowly roll out to Zwifters off of the game release cadence so people may discover the feature ahead of promotion in 1.77.

Community Frequently Asked Questions

Why am I not seeing routes from Route Chaser: The Grade challenge completed after my ride?

In order to receive credit for routes completed in the Route Chaser: The Grade challenge, Zwifters will need to first click on the challenge card, and click a route card within the challenge. This will register you for the challenge. After that, routes completed within the Route Chaser challenge will count towards challenge progression. As a reminder, routes completed prior to registering for the challenge will not count towards challenge progression.

I see an updated Zwift Cog was released. Do I need to upgrade my cog? What is the difference between the cogs?

If you're curious what the differences are between the Zwift Cog versions, we've got you covered. The original (black) Zwift Cog was released in October 2023 with the Zwift Hub One; it was updated for the Wahoo KICKR CORE Zwift One—sold with the Zwift Ride with KICKR CORE and the Wahoo KICKR CORE Zwift One. In Fall of 2024 we released an updated (orange) Zwift Cog, you can buy this as an upgrade kit.
