This month-long series is designed to elevate the Black cycling community on Zwift and in the real world
Long Beach, California, January 27, 2023 – Zwift, the global online fitness platform for cyclists, invites all Zwifters to participate in our Black Celebration Series. This month-long events series gives anyone the chance to ride with clubs led by Black Zwifters, highlighting this important but under-represented community of cyclists.
This series of rides will give Zwifters from every background the chance to discover the culture, history, and traditions of this subset of the cycling community as we all, as cyclists, work toward creating a more diverse and inclusive cycling community on Zwift and in the world.
The 2023 Black Celebration Series was organized in partnership with Level Up Cycling Movement, which is dedicated to introducing the health benefits of cycling to minority communities, promoting and fundraising for benevolent causes, and creating a consistent pathway to the highest levels of professional cycling for young minority cyclists.
Events in the 2023 Black Celebration Series include rides led by members of the Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago, Level Up, Bank City Bike Club, and Pushin Watts Cycling Crew. Rides will be offered Monday through Saturday during the month of February at a variety of times. For an up-to-date schedule, please check out our Black Celebration Series page.
As part of Zwift’s year-round efforts to support the Black community, Zwift is proud to continue to sponsor the California Conference for Equality and Justice, LA Bicycle Academy, and Sporting Equals – three organizations committed to driving change for equality in the world of cycling.
