TOUR DE ZWIFT: THE GIANT TOUR OF DISCOVERY RETURNS IN 2022

Start the year by exploring Zwift with this 8-stage tour

Zwift’s biggest mass-participation tour,  the Tour de Zwift, has returned once again for 2022. The hugely popular stage event returns with eight stages for both cycling and running, starting on 10 January, with warm-up rides and runs starting from 3 January.

The Tour de Zwift is an inclusive stage event that allows Zwifters of all abilities to explore eight of Zwift’s worlds, discover different routes and join a variety of events. This year the Tour de Zwift will be categorized into weekday and weekend rides. Weekday rides are shorter, more efficient, making it easier to find a time with work and school schedules and close to home in cities and residential routes. Weekend rides are longer rides that offer the opportunity to explore the natural perimeters of Zwift that feature mountains, dirt roads and rolling hills.

Each stage is themed based on the route, starting with ‘Flat Is Fast’ running from 10th Jan - 13th Jan. As with previous editions, Zwifters will be able to choose from three distance based categories on the bike (The Shorter Ride, The Standard Ride, or the Longer Ride) for each stage. Similarly, there will be two distance based categories for run. Begin the Tour de Zwift by ticking off the miles on fast and flat courses. Rest your legs for the mountain stage whether you chose to tackle the hairpins of the Alpe du Zwift or face the notorious 2018 UCI World Course in Innsbruck. Explore our newest world, Makuri Islands, with punchy routes in Neokyo or get lost in the countryside of Yumezi. Explore more of Zwift’s varied worlds, with 8 stages and different lengths of ride and runs at each stage, there is something for everyone.

The 8 Stages for Tour de Zwift:

Stage 1: Flat is Fast from 10 January - 13 January
